About Easy-im.com and Walt Hanson.

Walt HansonHello and welcome to the easy-im.com internet business blog. Thank you for visiting! My name is Walt Hanson, the author and proud owner of the easy-im blog. The Dutch guy on the left from here, well, that is me. You are on the page where I am going to describe to you who I am, what I am doing, how I was literally ‘forced’ to make money online due to some pretty bad situation I landed in and how I managed to work online for the last seven years ever since my personal disasters happened. This is also the story how I got in personal contact with some of the internet’s biggest internet marketers like Alex Goad, Ewen Chia and Scott Trimble and worked / is working with a few of them up to today.

“A special thank you goes out to Alex Goad. He has thought me so much and made my real dreams come closer and closer by being a friend socially, but a perfect drill sergeant as far as online business building goes.”

This is the place where you will find out how once a young business student became a successful account manager working for a large multinational. How he became the owner of a pretty successful brick and mortar business and how he was able to lose it all, ending up completely homeless during a time of 1, 5 year. If you look close at the picture above, you may notice that I do not look homeless there, yet it is my most recent picture from only one month ago. J

Easy IM, is that for easy internet marketing? …

Referring to the title of my blog, easy-im.com you are right, it is an abbreviation for easy internet marketing. But, hold your horses here; you may get the idea that making money online is ‘easy’ which is an illusion. Running an online business is an everlasting journey with a lot of hard work and devotion (For sure in the beginning) but it is NOT impossible.

Why the title easy-im.com then? Well, with my blog and personal efforts aimed at helping others, I am planning to make internet marketing a lot easier for them. And, when you look at the title of the blog now, it starts making perfect sense, doesn’t it?

I used to make money online without an internet connection!

You see, this is also the place where you will learn how Walt managed to go from totally homeless to getting his life back on track, how Walt was able to earn € 4,000.00 online without owning a pc and how he was able to bring his lifestyle up to higher standards as he had ever done before, completely by using the power of the internet. And, how he did it without any internet marketing knowledge OR an Internet connection to work with (Or house for that matter…) A challenge? You bet it was…

Let me inspire you…

Now you know what this page is about, I am asking you to decide whether or not you would like to continue reading it to the end. I am also asking you to challenge me whether or not I am able to inspire you with my story and if you would like to let me know in the form of a comment to my blog.

Hey, I know nothing about your personal situation right now. It can be good, it can be bad. But if you are a person who feels you are stuck or can’t get out of the financial situation you are in right now, I am telling you that you can. Heck, if I did not follow the steps I learned and performed, I would not have been here, let alone be writing this right now. I could possibly have been dead by now.

To make a long story short:

Up until 2001 I used to be a successful account manager with a large multinational sales company. Spoiled by my ‘more than average salary’, I had everything I desired. There was one thing though… Due to the fact I did not like the way people were treated in the multinational I was working for, I decided to start my own brick and mortar business. This business enjoyed some early successes and started to grow into proportions pretty fast. I had to work a lot of hours, seven days per week, but its success was my pride and joy.

The day disaster struck me and my business.

While I rather do not go into detail on how it happened, I can tell you that from that day it took me less than three weeks. Due to some serious mistakes made by local authorities and other companies involved, I ended up losing all of my business. Whatever could go wrong went wrong. Call it bad karma or whatever you would like to call it, but this personal drama unfolded right in front of my own eyes without anything I could do to stop it either. Before I knew it, I had lost my whole business.

Homelessness, it can happen to anybody, so it seems…

No business meant no source of income for me. And, no income means not being able to pay the rent and other important regular bills. I had started to look for a job and made an urgent appointment with my contact person from the real estate agency of which I rented my comfortable apartment with roof terrace and park view of. It was the end of the month and rent was due (again). While my contact person was also the owner of the real estate agency he was able to assure me that there was no way they would throw me out due to my rent being too late. I have been a loyal payer for years and, I quote the owner of the real estate company:”Walt, you being in this emergency situation is not going to cause you to become homeless, over my dead body, you can pay us later as I trust you personally.”

Over my dead body…

Seven days later this man died. Another seven days later, I was being kicked out of my apartment by one of the reps of the estate agency, seemingly not aware of the quote above but who was able to get more commission if he rented out my apartment to a different person, charging more per month than I was paying. I was actually put (and kept) outside (by police) of the house I lived in for all those years. My home! My life… All out on the streets…

The Big Bad Green Container…

Try and imagine witnessing a crew of people emptying your house in to a big green container. And, that container becomes the center of attention of people (neighbors and others) who eventually jump in the container and grab what they like and walk away with your surround sound movie theater system, your computer and monitors, your television, plants, clothes and practically everything you used to own and worked for. And, there is nothing you can do.

What do you do when you suddenly became homeless? You need to learn and act and you need to learn and act pretty quickly.

I will spare you the details of the next 1,5 years and on what it is like being completely homeless, losing all of your ‘friends’ and ‘ family’ because of it and how it can bring a person to truly become the saddest and coldest being alive. You should know that homelessness is ‘illegal’ where I used to live, so, there is no possible legal job you can get, resulting in either deciding to do something illegal to get money for food, or find other ways to eat. Besides the no money for food thing, how do you think you can even dream of having a chance to get out of this situation?

So I needed to think AND come up with a solution as quick as possible. I knew about the making money online thing, but had never done this before. And, besides that, since I was homeless I also did not have a computer let alone an internet connection. At first, this seemed impossible.

But, there was to be no other way… After searching for a way, I discovered that I had the opportunity to be online for 30 minutes, three days of the week using the free public internet services from our city library. And, it was in those 90 minutes per week that I found out about affiliate programs, clickbank, paypal, web sites and making money online in general… I started to get to see the picture how it was done and while this was beginning to give me some perspective, I began to need more time online to try and do this. But how? 90 minutes per week would take me years and I needed a solution a lot sooner than that.

Four empty bottles = 15 minutes internet!

I started to think about legal ways to earn enough money to get educated and eventually how to make that money online. Since getting a normal job was out of the question as much as that I would steal for this, I came up with an income source that saved me. I decided to start looking for empty bottles which I could exchange for small change. (1 beer bottle was €0,15 and a large cola bottle was € 0,25 in pure profits)

And, as soon as I managed to find enough bottles equivalent to € 1,00 I was able to visit an internet café for 15 minutes. While I was outside the whole 24/7, I had time to be searching for the right types of bottles as much as I could. (At least my dog loved it; he got all the walking he could have wished for.)

Running all over the city to find more bottles also gave me lots of time to think about my plan to learn more and eventually, I was able to design and put a money making web site online. It was a web site focused on collecting leads for loans. I promoted it locally to my best knowledge and power and as much as I could. I worked with all my devotion on this as much as I could; and, you know what? It began to give me results.

Four months later I had earned € 4.000,00!

To be precise about it, it was € 3.972,30. This was one of the days I will never forget. After 1,5 year of being homeless and having nothing, I was able to get a check cashed worth nearly €4k!

Let me tell you, I cashed that check, bought some new clothes, food, a prepaid mobile phone with which I got me and my doggy booked in a cheap hotel room at the coast.

After I arrived there, I took a four hour shower, shaved and brushed my teeth a thousand times, had coffee and other nice things I had gone without all that time. The next four days were days of relaxing and coping with what had happened with me all that time. I cried some, I smiled some… I walked the beaches for hours… Finally coming to terms with where I had been and where I was walking that moment in time. I had conquered homelessness with a knock out.

With the money I had earned, I was now able to rent myself a caravan with internet connection and educate myself more on internet marketing. I remember I did 18 hours or more straight nearly all of the days of the week. There was no other way than to continue with what I was doing and get me on more solid ground as fast as possible.

I told you I would try to keep this story short, so, let me zap you to today, Thursday the 29th of May, the day I am writing this letter to you.

Where am I now? I am living on 5.000 square meter private grounds in a nice house located in the Sunny Algarve, close to some of Europe’s finest beaches, far from being homeless, far from financial worries and stress. I now own several successful web sites, blogs, and recently started a new article directory as well. I am making my money online with all sorts of affiliate programs, with Google Adsense and recently I started the production of my own line of products as the main sources of income. I have begun to see the top of the seemingly everlasting mountain I was climbing.

Which leads me to the following closing words.

If I was able to make money online in the situation that I was, fully homeless with no computer or internet connection, and I am still making money online up to today, then what do you think will be your reason for telling me you cannot do this?

If you feel you can do this, but just do not know how, then, my blog is for you. I would like to help you in your education to succeeding with making money online. No matter what your situation is right now. You can personally have a change made tomorrow.

I am learning new things every day and get thought by some of the greatest master minds in the Internet marketing industry. What I learn will be posted right here on my blog, for you to learn from too. You are welcome to visit my blog whenever you like, and you can contact me at any time. Don’t forget to join my rss feed so that whenever I do a post, you get to read it. I will put my focus on helping others to make money online for free or for the least amount of money needed to be invested. This is what my blog, easy-im.com is all about.

Peace, out.

Walt
